About the Hospice Foundation Leadership Council
The Hospice Foundation Leadership Council is a committee of supporters of The Hospice Foundation and Hospice & Palliative CareCenter who share a passion for community involvement and philanthropy, coupled with a strong drive to positively impact end of life care in our community. The Leadership Council was founded in 2013 and has grown today to 35 members.
The Atrium at Wake Forest BioTech Place
Our event will be held at the The Atrium at Wake Forest BioTech Place in the Innovation Quarter in downtown Winston-Salem. We can’t wait to get together for a mint julep in this gorgeous new space!
WHAT TO WEAR – FOR LADIES
According to the official Kentucky Derby website, “The Kentucky Derby is a chance for every woman to express her inner Southern Belle.” A dressy pantsuit or cocktail dress would be a perfect choice. Most importantly – don’t forget your hat!
WHAT TO WEAR – FOR MEN
Derby Style for men includes wearing clothes that are comfortable yet stylish. A classic polished look would be a navy blazer with a colorful tie or bowtie. Bright colors are frequently spotted at the Derby, so feel free to wear something that stands out a bit.

Our Hospice Kentucky Derby Party is in its 6th year thanks to the devotion of the Hospice Foundation Leadership Council. We’re so thankful for the creativity, organization and passion that this group has for supporting Hospice & Palliative CareCenter and for making this event so much fun!

W e can’t imagine a more perfect setting for the 2018 Hospice Kentucky Derby Party than the The Atrium at Wake Forest BioTech Place located in the Innovation Quarter in downtown Winston-Salem. The atrium is a four-story-tall, curved glass space with a 14-foot video screen with stereo sound. It’s the perfect spot to get together, sip mint juleps and watch the run for the roses!
The Atrium is the centerpiece of BioTech Place. This $100 million building pays tribute to its past as a tobacco warehouse and machine shop for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and serves as a beacon for the best practices of environmentally friendly development.
